Desktop Web Twitter Instructions

  1. Click Settings and privacy from your profile image drop-down.
  2. Click Muted words
  3. Click Add
  4. Enter the full hashtag you wish to mute. For example if you want to mute all piss related content, type in: #PTpiss *NOTE* You can only enter one tag at a time.
  5. Turn the "Home timeline" and "Notifications" options ON
  6. Click From anyone *NOTE* This step is crucial to ensure the hashtag is properly hidden from your timeline.
  7. Make sure For how long? is set to Forever
  8. Click Add 
  9. Repeat for any hashtags you wish to mute.
